Bicyclists Organizing for Community Action (BOCA), is designed to bring young people together to make community change through cycling. We want to create healthy communities where our people especially our youth can thrive and aren't deprived of an opportunity. By creating youth leaders in our communities as well as increasing the number of cyclists we strive to increase access to opportunities.
|
In BOCA we want our members to feel empowered; we organize to increase safety by advocating for more bike lanes and by creating cycling opportunities for transit dependent people in our community. We fight for youth rights, youth jobs and transit rights with the Youth Jobs Coalition and Youth Affordabili(T) Coalition.
Get Involved!
Come to Tool Time at the Hub! Tool Time is a great opportunity for youth to come learn about bicycle mechanics, get their bikes repaired, learn about bike safety, meet other youth or just to hang out and have fun! Every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Visit Chain Reaction, our mobile bike shop.
Boston’s Only Mobile, After-School, Youth-Run Bike Shop!
**Chain Reaction will be back soon, stay tuned for more info.**
Chain Reaction is an initiative of Bikes Not Bombs' Youth Programs designed to help communities that are in need of bike repairs. Chain Reaction focuses on the numerous communities lacking access or resources to nearby bicycle shops.
Within these communities Chain Reaction steps in to raise awareness about safe bicycle riding and teaches individuals how to repair their own bikes in order to increase self-reliance.
Chain Reaction is a mobile bike shop; we bring all of our tools with us on a bike-pulled trailer which allows us to travel from community to community. In addition to bicycle repair we also bring information about all of Bikes Not Bombs' programs.
For more information or to request Chain Reaction at your next event, call Youth Pathways at 617-522-0222 x100 or email Ben Goodman at [email protected].
